WOW...thanks to allll my amazing friends for making my 16th birthday sooooooooo special~ you all really mean the world to me! thanks sooo much brittany and Elis-cha for the decorations on my locker! ya'll are the best. i love you soo much and you mean the world to me! JESSICA AND ELAINE! thanks for my cake, balloon, kisses, and flowers! ya'll made my day! that cake was sooo good!
im soo blessed to have friends that can make you soo happy on a day that you thought was really going to suck...cause i sure thought that my 16th birthday was gonna be "not so sweet" but my friends made my day...and all the difference in the world! i cant imagine my life without them!

Today was the Visitation for my Granny...it was soo sad, but so touching at the same time..im not really sure whats going to happen after this weekend. life will be SO different. she's been sick since March...so i mean this has been a regular thing since then, and shes been a part of my life for 16 years.
tonight was rough...i have a real problem with dead people...and tonight was even harder..becuase those beautiful soft hands that used to pat her 4 kids and nine grandchildren, instead of being warm and comforting like i've always known them they were just cold and still. standing next to her while people came to say goodbye, i could swear that i saw her take a breath at least 5 times...i wish! but she's really gone now and i've got to carry on. it's amazing how someone can touch so many people's lives. and she did..there were SO many people there tonight! it was truely touching. she will be buried tomorrow at 2 in the afternoon..and she was wearing this dress...it was one she bought to wear to a Potentate Ball, a shrinery function that my granddad was very active in...and my aunt said that when she was moved to her condo, she saw them unpacking that dress to put in her new closet she grabbed my aunts arm, and as she pointed to the dress she said "thats my burial dress." and it was..she looked so pretty in that dress tonight. i just wish that she wasnt gone...but she is. we go through seasons in our lives, and when it all comes down to it, we are really just a season. death is a part of life...thats why we are born. birth is essentially the journey to death. but i know shes in a better place now, and even though she'll be GREATLY missed, i know shes soo happy with her husband..and that just puts a smile on my face. i've got a feeling that tomorrow will be even harder than tonight, cause tomorrow really is goodbye. i'll come back to murfreesboro, and that'll be it. no more trips to Granny's for thanksgiving christmas or easter...that chapter in my life is closed. i'll think about her everyday...and i can't wait to see her again.

so my dad just came and told me that his mom, my grandmother, died tonite at 10:30. shes been fighting all kinds of cancer for 10 months today..March 18, 2005. she was my only grandparent on that side of the family and the only family within 700 miles. she will be greatly missed...but i know shes in a happier place, with her husband whos been anxiously awaiting her for 11 years. gahh this sucks, so we're going back to knoxville tomorrow to make the funeral arrangements...pray for my family..
